🔥 Strong Mobs Datapack — Feature Summary
This datapack makes Minecraft significantly harder by giving hostile mobs new abilities, auras, and mechanics, all implemented in vanilla using commands.
🧟 Zombies
Always spawn with:
Full iron armor
Iron sword
Equipment:
Does not drop on death
Applied once per zombie (no re-equipping loops)
💀 Skeletons
Skeleton bows are replaced with:
Custom enchanted bows
Power III
Flame I
Multishot III
Skeletons properly fire multishot arrows
Bows cannot be farmed (no drops)
🕷️ Spiders
When a player is within 0.5 blocks:
Player is pulled toward the spider
A particle indicator shows the grab range
Creates a “sticky web” feeling instead of raw knockback
🧊 Slimes
Any player within 3 blocks:
Is effectively rooted in place
Movement is almost completely disabled
Makes slimes extremely dangerous in tight spaces
🌊 Drowned
Any player within 3 blocks:
Takes drowning-type damage
0.5 hearts per second
Damage uses the drown damage source
Armor does not reduce the damage
✨ Experience Orbs
XP orbs act as healing auras
Players within 2 blocks:
Gain Regeneration
Encourages risky movement toward XP during combat
👁️ Endermen
Any player within 5 blocks:
Receives Nausea
Effect is hidden (no particles)
Creates strong disorientation and pressure
🏹 Phantoms
All phantoms are:
Scaled to 2× size
Phantoms have a special ability:
Every 10 seconds
If a player is within 10 blocks:
A large particle blast appears on the player
Player takes 3 damage (1.5 hearts)
Uses a real per-phantom cooldown (no spam)
🌬️ Breezes
Any entity within 6 blocks:
Takes 1 damage per second
Damage applies to:
Players
Mobs
Breezes themselves are immune
Creates a dangerous “wind aura”
🧙 Witches
Every 10 seconds:
Targets the nearest player
Places a cobweb at the player’s position
Cooldown is per-witch
Webs persist until broken
Makes witches excellent crowd-control enemies
👻 Vexes
Vexes effectively have extended attack range
Damage is applied to players slightly outside normal melee distance
Creates the feeling of longer reach without teleporting or mods
