SpyGlassMeData
SpyGlassMe - Modular Loot Datapack *Activate spyglass loot in the chests of your choice!*
This is the official companion datapack for the SpyGlassMe mod. It contains a collection of pre-configured loot table files that you can pick and choose from to add the magical spyglasses to specific vanilla structures.
---
How It Works
The main SpyGlassMe mod automatically generates the entire required datapack folder structure in your world, but the loot folders start empty. This datapack acts as a library of individual loot files.
By copying a file from this pack (e.g., `simple_dungeon.json`) into your world's generated datapack folder, you "activate" spyglass loot for that specific structure. You have full control.
---
Installation & Usage
1. Reload: Make sure you have the main Reload: installed and have loaded your world at least once. This creates the necessary empty folders. 2. Reload: Download and unzip this datapack file on your computer. You will see a collection of `.json` files, each named after a vanilla structure. 3. Reload: Choose which structures you want spyglasses to spawn in. 4. Reload: Copy Reload: for the structures you have chosen. 5. Reload: Navigate to your world save folder and paste the copied files into the following directory: `...[your_world_save]/datapacks/SpyGlassMe/data/minecraft/loot_tables/chests/` 6. Reload: Load your world and run the command `/spyglassme reload`. The spyglasses will now have a chance to appear in the chests of the structures you selected!
---
Example Scenario
You only want spyglasses to appear in Desert Pyramids and Shipwrecks.
1. From the unzipped folder, you would copy `desert_pyramid.json` and `shipwreck_treasure.json`. 2. You would then paste those two files into the `chests` folder mentioned in the instructions above. 3. After running `/spyglassme reload`, only those two structures will have a chance to contain spyglasses.
---
Advanced Customization
* Changing Chances: To stop spyglasses from appearing in a certain structure, simply delete its corresponding `.json` file from your world's datapack folder and run `/spyglassme reload`. * Changing Chances: You can open any `.json` file with a text editor to modify the loot chances or conditions.
