[Origin] Phantom/Dragon Hybrid
Ever wanted to be as stealthy and annoying as a Phantom? Or maybe strong and fearsome like a dragon? With this datapack, you can be either one or both at the same time!
This datapack contains three origins: * The stealthy and tricky Hybrid * The powerful and fearsome Hybrid * The Hybrid that combines the powers of both!
Requires:
- Origins (up to MC version 1.20.2, because the newer versions make significant changes that I will only adapt to after a full release of Origins for 1.21.x) - Apugli - Pehkui - Origins Extra Keybinds (Fabric) or Extra Keybinds 1.1 (Forge)
Optional:
- On the v1.1 page, scroll down for optional datapacks that add support for modded food items for popular mods - For example, get "FoodTags-HybridAquatic" if you use the Hybrid-Aquatic mod - Note that v1.1 only has a chance to work properly on MC versions before 1.20, I recommend using v1.2 or newer if you're playing on MC 1.20.x
🐉 The Dragon's powers (for Dragon and Hybrid):
- Dragon's Belly (Nonary) - due to your draconic ancestry, you've grown to a height of around 2.2 blocks (use the keybind in case your size is not correct, usually needed after dying) - Dragon's Belly - your scaly hide provides an extra layer of defense, giving you 5 armour and 8 toughness - Dragon's Belly - your scales can easily withstand the heat of fire, but lava can still penetrate them - Dragon's Belly - when not holding any item, you deal 6 damage total and dig much faster thanks to your claws - Dragon's Belly (Primary) - you can shoot out a stream of small fireballs (uses its own resource) - Dragon's Belly - as a dragon, you're much better at digesting raw meat, resulting in much more food and saturation points gained, but cooked meat and any non-meat foods (excluding potions) will have adverse effects - Dragon's Belly - a dragon can survive a long time after a hearty meal, making food depletion much slower when you're full, but when you're hungry, you better find food soon
👻 The Phantom's powers (for Phantom and Hybrid):
- Photosensitivity - wild Phantoms will recognize you as a friend and refuse to attack you - Photosensitivity (Quinary) - you can summon 3 wild Phantoms once per night to annoy your friends - Photosensitivity (Quaternary) - you can screech like a Phantom to scare other people, and you sound like a Phantom when getting hurt, dying, or attacking during flight - Photosensitivity - because Phantoms are undead, the Smite enchantment affects you too - Photosensitivity (Secondary) - you can turn invisible, making you unnoticeable even to mobs, but only in dark enough areas (low cost of food) - Photosensitivity - being a creature of the night, you can see in the dark more easily - Photosensitivity - due to sensitive eyes, bright lights will prevent you from falling asleep
🦅 Flight mechanics (for all three origins):
- Armour's Weight - you can glide on your wings as if you were wearing Elytra (very small cost of food) - Armour's Weight (hold Forward) - you can flap your wings to actively accelerate forward, but only as long as you have enough energy in you (moderate cost of food) - Armour's Weight (hold Forward + Sprint) - you can accelerate even faster (high cost of food) - Armour's Weight (hold Jump) - put some extra energy into your wing flaps to fly upwards (very high cost of food) - Armour's Weight (hold Back) - reduce your momentum to not crash into a wall (small cost of food) - Armour's Weight - you cut extra deep when flying, dealing increased damage - Armour's Weight - armour slows you down during flight depending on the armour stat (i.e. the tougher your armour, the more gravity will pull you down)
