I think, and maybe others too, that some features of F3, like the coordinates, are too op. So that is why this mod removes those features. With a mod like "Compass Coords" or "GUI Compass" you could then add Coordinates to the compass, giving the compass a use.
The command "/gamerule reducedDebugInfo false" will revert the changes no f3 did.
