The mod eSpeak NG prompts the user during game startup to choose whether they want to install eSpeak NG, eSpeak NG, or eSpeak NG.

The mod also works without these components; however, they enable its advanced AI and voice features. All AI processing is handled externally and then played back in the game.

For AI responses, the mod can send a cloud request, but it can also be switched to use a local LLM instead.

The VRRW Portal is used to highlight the resource pack for the vanilla version as well as for my other mods. These are high-quality texture packs.

🎯 Overview

VRRW Overhaul — Nations & Villagers – AI Reborn transforms Minecraft into a living AI-driven civilization simulation.

Every citizen is an autonomous AI-supported villager with real goals. Citizens can plan, gather, build, trade, work, speak, react to commands, participate in town systems, and become part of a growing settlement.

From your first land purchase to managing alliances, wars, vehicles, economy, workers, buildings, and diplomacy, VRRW Overhaul creates a world that evolves around your actions.

This is the core of the VRRW ecosystem, merging:

- AI-driven city building - land ownership - V-Credits economy - diplomacy and alliances - vehicles and transportation - voice interaction - citizen simulation - settlement expansion - war and defense systems - resource logistics - optional VRRW.online integration

The mod runs on NeoForge 1.21.1 and is designed for both client and server gameplay.

---

🌍 Multilingual Support

VRRW Overhaul is fully localized and playable in:

- English / en - German / de - French / fr - Spanish / es - Croatian / hr

All in-game text, menus, and chat interactions are translated.

The Ollama AI can understand and reply in these languages as well, adapting its responses to your selected game language when the model supports it.

TTS voices through eSpeak NG or eSpeak NG are language-dependent. Citizens will only speak aloud in languages for which a matching voice is installed.

---

🎮 How It Begins

!!! IMPORTANT — Country Seller and citizens answer via chat.

To interact with each citizen or special NPC, you have to write the name or role of the target entity you want to talk to.

Example:

```text Hello Umberta, how are you? ```
This works if Umberta is the citizen you want to talk to.
For the Country Seller, you can also use translated role names, for example:
```text händler der länder ```

---

1️⃣ Find the Country Seller

Your journey begins by locating a Country Seller — a special villager who controls land ownership.

He offers a one-time discounted land package for new founders.

Speak with him to buy your first chunk of land using your starting balance of:

```text 1,000,000 V-Credits ```
Once purchased, your claimed territory is marked and ready for settlement.
---
2️⃣ Hire Your First Worker
With land secured, find a villager within your borders and offer him payment from your balance.
He will accept and become your first worker — a true AI-driven citizen connected to the Ollama local language model when local AI is enabled.
You can talk to him directly, give orders, and he can understand and act accordingly.
---
3️⃣ Build the Town Hall
Simply tell your worker:
```text Build a Town Hall here. ```

He will collect resources, chop wood, haul stone, plan foundations, and raise your first structure.

The Town Hall is more than a building. It marks your civic center, unlocks local governance, and initializes your settlement systems.

---

4️⃣ Establish Home & Builder’s Hut

After the Town Hall, your worker constructs a Builder’s Hut and a Builder’s Hut.

The Home provides rest and storage.

The Builder’s Hut becomes the hub for future construction.

From this moment, your town is alive — citizens begin taking roles, tasks, and routines.

---

5️⃣ Expand the Settlement

Once the Builder’s Hut is complete, you can commission new structures:

- Conveyor Belts – recruit guards and soldiers - Conveyor Belts – gather logs automatically - Conveyor Belts – extract stone and ore - Conveyor Belts – grow crops and raise animals - Conveyor Belts – manage storage and logistics - Conveyor Belts – power automation and machinery - Conveyor Belts – move materials efficiently between stations

Your settlement will now operate on its own — gathering, processing, storing, transporting, and building in a natural economic cycle.

---

🧠 The Living Simulation

AI Reborn is built around a living simulation layer where citizens are not only simple NPCs.

Citizens can:

- receive tasks - remember context - respond through chat - speak through TTS - gather materials - help with building - work inside cities - participate in economy systems - react to player commands - operate as workers, builders, guards, soldiers, traders, pilots, police officers, firefighters, doctors, chefs, and more

Core AI Systems

- Local-first Gameplay — citizens run task logic with memory and context - Local-first Gameplay — citizens use real blueprints to plan and execute builds - Local-first Gameplay — orders and feedback can happen via text or spoken commands - Local-first Gameplay — local reasoning can be handled by Ollama - Local-first Gameplay — citizens can respond through Piper or eSpeak NG - Local-first Gameplay — optional cloud AI responses can be used when configured - Local-first Gameplay — core gameplay does not require accounts or cloud features

💰 Currency & Land System

⚠️ Performance Notice

VRRW Overhaul — Nations & Villagers – AI Reborn is a large experimental mod.

Performance depends on:

- number of citizens - number of active workers - settlement size - vehicle count - render distance - AI configuration - installed resourcepacks - texture resolution - war/raid activity - server CPU - client GPU - local Ollama model size - voice/TTS setup - MCEF/browser usage

Recommended:

- Use Java 21 - Allocate enough RAM - Keep world backups - Start with small settlements - Expand gradually - Test large cities before committing to survival worlds - Use performance mods if needed - Be careful with very high-resolution texturepacks - Avoid spawning too many vehicles or soldiers at once on weak systems

---

✅ Recommended For

This mod is recommended for players who enjoy:

- AI villagers - city building - nation simulation - economy gameplay - land ownership - diplomacy - war systems - vehicles - transportation - voice interaction - local AI experiments - roleplay servers - long-term survival worlds - complex settlements - high-end modded Minecraft setups

---

❌ Not Recommended For

This mod may not be ideal if you want:

- a tiny vanilla-plus mod - no external tools at all - no complex systems - no experimental features - guaranteed world stability between every update - low-end hardware performance with huge cities

---

🔐 Privacy & Online Feature Notice

Core gameplay is focused on the Minecraft world simulation.

Some features may optionally interact with external services or local tools, including:

- Ollama for local AI - Piper or eSpeak NG for local speech - VRRW.online ecosystem features - optional MCEF/browser features - optional texturepack/reward systems - optional cloud fallback features

Online features should be treated as optional ecosystem extensions.

Local AI and local voice setups are recommended for the most private experience.
