Livestock Panic
Livestock Panic
Livestock Panic introduces realistic survival instincts to passive farm animals. Chickens, sheep, cows, and pigs now detect nearby hostile mobs or wolves within a configurable radius and react accordingly.
Animal Behaviors
- Pigs frantically scatter in random directions with increased speed - Pigs group together and flee as a herd - Pigs occasionally charge and knockback smaller threats like spiders or silverfish - Pigs squeal loudly, alerting nearby animals and potentially attracting players to investigate
Features
- Animals return to normal behavior once threats leave the area - Works seamlessly with vanilla breeding and farming mechanics - Uses efficient scoreboard-based proximity detection - Runs checks only every 20 ticks to minimize performance impact - No commands required for basic functionality
Configuration
Optional command `/trigger livestock_panic_range` allows players to adjust detection radius between 8-24 blocks.
Use Cases
Players can intentionally use this behavior for automated mob sorting or must consider predator threats when building farms.
