This is solved by removing this response and instead controlling the movements with two new rotation keys. It might look a bit jittery on multiplayer, but it shouldn't be severe. The mod is client-side only, meaning you can play it on any server you want, though some anticheat might miscategorize this because you are placing blocks in places you aren't looking at.
