DESCRIPTION
This data pack aims to add new enchantments that feel vanilla and spice up the game! It adds 18 enchantments, 4 new curses and also modifies 3 vanilla enchantments.

Enchantments
<ins> Breeze Burst </ins>
Description Bow Description 1 Description as enchanted books in trial chamber normal vaults, librarian trades Description: Makes shot arrows spawn a wind charge upon impact with a block. Useful as a renewable alternative to wind charges.
<ins> Crab's Touch </ins>
Description Tools/Shears Description 3 Description In shipwrecks, buried treasure, Ocean ruins, and trail ruins; librarian trades Description: Increases your block interaction reach, allowing you to break blocks from up to 7.5 blocks away with level 3. You can also put a tool enchanted with crab's touch in your offhand to place blocks from far away.
<ins> Gluttony </ins>
Description tools/sword/shears Description 3 Description in enchantment table; librarian trades Description: Puts mined blocks directly into your inventory instead of dropping them as items. Level 2 works with crabs touch's extended range and level 3 also collects xp.
<ins> Graviole </ins>
Description elytra Description 3 Description in end city loot chests Description: Makes your elytra resist gravity which increases flight duration but also prevents you from using gravity to accelerate yourself, causing slower flight speed.
<ins> Ice Aspect </ins>
Description Sword Description 2 Description guaranteed spawn in ancient city ice box chests, trial chamber normal vaults Description: Has 10% chance with level 1 and 20% chance with level 2 to freeze enemies for 3 seconds, making them immobile. Players are still able to move their camera and fight back while frozen. Incompatible with fire aspect and websnare.
<ins> Kinetic Protection </ins>
Description Helmet Description 4 Description enchantment table, random loot, villager trades Description: Protects you from elytra's kinetic damage.
<ins> Luminousity </ins>
Description Chestplate Description 3 Description enchantment table; villager trades, random loot Description: Makes you emit a light level of 5 with level 1, 10 with level 2, and 15 with level 3.
<ins> Outreach </ins>
Description Sword Description 2 Description enchantment table; villager trades, random loot Description: Increases your attack reach to 4 blocks with level 2. Incompatible with Swift Strike.
<ins> Precision </ins>
Description Bow, Crossbow Description 2 Description enchantment table (crossbow only); villager trades, random loot Description: Reduces curve from projectile trajectory, increasing accuracy. Higher level increases range of effectiveness.
<ins> Pyrolysis </ins>
Description Pickaxes, axes, shovels Description 1 Description enchantment table; villager trades, random loot Description: Auto smelts mined blocks, incompatible with fortune and silk touch.
<ins> Retrieval </ins>
Description Chestplate Description 4 Description enchantment table; villager trades, random loot Description: Arrows shot at you have a chance to go into your inventory, effectively letting you steal it. Potion effects from tipped arrows are used up and lost when stolen. Higher level has more chance for arrow to be retrieved with an 80% chance at level 4.
<ins> Scorch Walker </ins>
Description Boots Description 2 Description villager trades, random loot Description: Lava counterpart of frost walker, creates magma blocks for you to walk on lava. Also protects you from magma and powder snow damage.
<ins> Skyguard </ins>
Description Elytra Description 4 Description end city loot chests Description: Basically the protection enchantment but for elytras.
<ins> Stride </ins>
Description Leggings Description 3 Description enchantment table; villager trades, random loot Description: Allows you to step up full blocks without jumping as if they were stairs.
<ins> Swift Strike </ins>
Description Sword/axe Description 5 Description enchantment table (sword only); villager trades, random loot Description: Decreases attack cooldown.
<ins> Toxic </ins>
Description Bows/Crossbows Description 1 Description enchantment table (crossbow only); villager trades, random loot Description: Makes arrows inflict poison on victim for 11 seconds. Undead mobs are immune to this enchantment.
<ins> Vitality </ins>
Description Chestplate Description 3 Description enchantment table, villager trades, random loot Description: Increases your max health to 13 hearts with level 3.
<ins> Websnare </ins>
Description Sword Description 2 Description villager trades, random loot Description: There's a chance a cobweb spawns under the victim, trapping them in it. Incompatible with fire aspect and ice aspect.
Curses
<ins> Curse of Breaking </ins>
Description All gear Description 1 Description villager trades, random loot Description: Items break 4x faster when they are cursed with this.
<ins> Curse of Clumsiness </ins>
Description Tools/weapons Description 1 Description villager trades, random loot Description: When items enchanted with this curse are used to attack or mine, they have a chance to drop on the ground.
<ins> Curse of Displacement </ins>
Description Weapons Description 1 Description villager trades, random loot Description: Makes enemies teleport away sometimes. The algorithm will try to tp them behind you.
<ins> Curse of Double Edge </ins>
Description Weapons Description 1 Description villager trades, random loot Description: Weapons enchanted with this curse have a 40% chance to deal damage to you when used.
Modified Enchantments
<ins> Power </ins>
Change: Now works on crossbows
<ins> Sharpness </ins>
Change: Now works on tridents
<ins> Silk touch </ins>
Change: Now works on swords (for collecting cobwebs)
INSTALLATION/UPDATE GUIDE
Installation:
- for datapack, go to your saves folder located here on Windows: `C:Users(your name)AppDataRoaming.minecraftsaves` go to your world's folder, open the datapacks folder, put the zipped file, and restart your world
- for mod, put the jar file in `c:Users(your name)AppDataRoaming.minecraftmods` and then launch the game
Updating:
- make sure your world is closed (if using mod, close the game) - locate the old datapack (or mod) and delete it - add the new datapack (or mod) - you're good to go!
