There's something... wrong in this world. It seems almost empty. What happened to its wildlife?
Some Changes
- Neither animals nor structures spawn here, so killing and pillaging are not viable methods of getting food. - Sleeping doesn't skip the night, it just makes it 8x shorter with the cost of unforseable consequences. - There are new tools, armor and tiers: wooden (only tools), stone (only tools), copper (+ lapis-lazuli), iron (+ emerald), gold (+ redstone), diamond (+ quartz and netherite). - Added 10 new foods. - Changed the recipe of some items such as anvils and rails (both now use copper). - Simpler enchanting sistem. - The amount of ores increases the further down you go. - In the Overworld, some biomes were modified (e.g. Windswept and Old Growth biomes, Desert, Savanna Plateau etc.), and some were included (Nest biomes and Frozen Sky). - The Nether received a generation overhaul, including: - a new biome, - increased world height to 192 blocks, - 1 new ore - and water: yes, you can now place water in the Nether! But it can be poisonous, so be careful.
Creatures
- Your new enemies are only visible through particles, so be aware of your surroundings and any noises you hear. - Tall flowers, crops and amulets can be used to "reveal" enemies (make them slightly more visible and less resistant). - They can break blocks you placed when unrevealed (such as stairs, slabs, redstone related blocks, doors, trapdoors etc.). - Some enemies may drop totems, serving as bonus attributes.
A Change of Pace
The two things this datapack offers the most is a greater focus on farming (for food and safety) and a new ambience of the unknown, with 30 new and uncanny remixes, invisible monsters that will hunt you down and much more to come.
Recommendations
Do not use this datapack in a previously generated world, as it changes a lot of the world generation. > Planting crops in alternating rows can boost their growth speed. (Minecraft Wiki trivia)
