Better Golden Apples
Works in most versions of minecraft, and changes the texture of the golden apple to that in Marlow's V2 texture pack, just because I think it looks better.
Still 16x and this texture pack modifies nothing except for the golden_apple.png texture in assets > minecraft > textures > item.
