Asa's Potions

Asa's Potions v1.0

I've always loved the vanilla textures of Minecraft. However, I always thought it would be cool if certain repetitive items had unique textures, with potions being one of these items. So I set out to make a unique texture for every potion in the game while attempting to emulate the vanilla art style. I hope that you enjoy using this pack as much as I’ve enjoyed making it.

Identification

I attempted to make a predictable and understandable pattern for how the potion textures evolve depending on their ingredients. All potions now have a unique texture, with their variants displaying small changes depending on their length, power, or bottle type. Potions diluted with redstone are longer and appear in a larger bottle. On the other hand, glowstone makes the potion more potent and concentrated, allowing for a smaller bottle also distinguishable with a golden band.

This image is titled “Potion Levels Example (Potion of Regeneration)”. Below the title is a potion progression tree showing all evolutions of the regeneration potion. Starting on the left with a water bottle and an awkward potion showing how the potion can be made. The image then shows a basic regeneration potion in a standard sized, heart shaped bottle. Above that bottle is a larger sized bottle of the same shape for longer potions, there is a smaller bottle bellow with a gold band around it used for more potent potions. The image then displays all three of these bottles with glass stoppers instead of normal corks representing splash potions. The image then displays three more potions all with the lingering potion stopper type.

In the image above, all variations and components of the regeneration potion progression tree can be seen as the primary example of how potion identification works in this pack.

All The Potions

All potions follow these rules and have each been given a unique look as to try and make them easily distinguishable from one another.

The Future of Asa's Potions

I plan on keeping this pack up to date with the latest (full release) Minecraft versions. However, new pack versions may not be available immediately after the release of new Minecraft updates as I work at my own pace. I also fully intend on making this pack compatible with certain mods, as well as a bare bones version of this texture pack since it is similar to the pack used in the official Minecraft promotional videos. I may also eventually make a 32x resolution version of this pack if there is enough interest.

Currently Supported Potions

Minecraft : 1.21.5+

Alternative Texture Pack Compatibility Coming Soon

Bare Bones 32x (eventually)
