Have u thinked: "Why am I using 5 ingots to ctaft helmet and get less durability than by using 4 to craft boots?" - that datapack solves problem and also adds new stats to armor and weight mechanic

Amount of armor and armor toughness, durability and weight now binded to amount of items used to craft armor piece

1. leather - durability: 8 - armor: 0.25 - armor toughness: 0 - movement speed: 0.015 - fall damage multiplier: -0.02 - safe fall distance: 0.02 - knockback resistance: 0

2. chainmail - durability: 24 - armor: 0.6 - armor toughness: 0 - movement speed: -0.00375 - fall damage multiplier: 0.0125 - safe fall distance: -0.0025 - knockback resistance: 0

3. iron - durability: 32 - armor: 0.75 - armor toughness: 0 - movement speed: -0.0075 - fall damage multiplier: 0.025 - safe fall distance: -0.005 - knockback resistance: 0

4. golden - durability: 16 - armor: 0.5 - armor toughness: 0 - movement speed: -0.01 - fall damage multiplier: 0.025 - safe fall distance: -0.005 - knockback resistance: 0

5. diamond - durability: 64 - armor: 1 - armor toughness: 0.25 - movement speed: -0.015 - fall damage multiplier: 0.05 - safe fall distance: 0 - knockback resistance: 0

When player holds item or wears it in a right slot (helmet - head, chestplate - chest, etc.) it gets new stats
