Warping Wonders
## 📖 Description
**Warping Wonders** allows for a more immersive player teleportation utilizing already existing items. Using a compass which is linked to a lodestone players can teleport back to the lodestone. A clock teleports players back to their spawnpoint (bed, respawn anchor) and the recovery compass can bring players back to their last death location. The latter two always get consumed when using them. In addition to that Portal Horns can be crafted which function as a TPA replacement. The latest addition to the data pack is a Waypoint Hub system which lets players set up a network of points of interest where they can teleport to. All teleport actions function across all dimensions. Ridden Entites (Camel, Strider, Donkey, Mule, Horse, Llama and Horses) as well as leashed Entities (including Boats) will be teleported alongside players.
**With v2.5+ Admins/OPs can configure almost anything in-game using config menus.**
Command to open the Config Menu
“`
/function warping_wonders
“`
Admin Tag
The Admin Tag allows for teleporting and editing any Waypoint regardless of being the owner or not.
Will either be set automatically when opening the Config Menu or can be set with:
“`
/tag add/remove wawo.admin
“`
## 🧭 Item Overview
Compass
Compasses can teleport you to their linked Lodestones, and several additional variants can also be crafted.
Recovery Compass
You can use a Recovery Compass to teleport to where you last died, and there are also a bunch of other variants you can craft.
Clock
Using a Clock teleports you back to your respawn point — usually your Bed or Respawn Anchor.
Portal Horn
Tooting a Portal Horn brings up a menu to invite another player to teleport to you. They’ll get a chat message where they can choose to accept.
Waypoint Hub
Waypoint Hubs can be crafted and placed to create fixed teleport locations that connect to other Waypoint Hubs. Multiple variants are available, each crafted with a different base block so they can blend seamlessly into any build.
– Menus only display destinations the player can access (public or their own private waypoints).
– Pickaxes are the default tool for mining/breaking Waypoint Hubs.
– Private Waypoints display a lock icon above their name.
– Left- or right-clicking the icon of a Waypoint Hub you placed with a renamed Name Tag changes its name.
– Left- or right-clicking with a renamed Book adds/changes a description for the Waypoint Hub to the menu tooltip lore.
– Left- or right-clicking with a renamed Paper grants/revokes access permission for a player to teleport to the Waypoint regardless of it being locked (“trust / “untrust “)
– Left- or right-clicking with a Dye changes the waypoint’s text color.
– Left- or right-clicking with a Waypoint Lock toggles its accessibility (private/public).
– Left-clicking the icon without an item (Name Tag, Dye, etc.) cycles through available icons/heads.
– Right-clicking the icon without an item opens the waypoint menu.
– Placing a Wool block beneath the hub disables teleportation announcements for that hub.
Waypoint Lock
Waypoint Locks can be crafted to switch a Waypoint Hub’s visibility between private and public.
## 🛠️ How to, Instructions & Commands
The datapack usually just needs to be installed. There is nothing else you have to do. It just works out of the box.
For **PaperMC users**, it is recommended to set the `paper.maxChatCommandInputSize` property to a value between 512 and 1024. More information can be found in the PaperMC Docs. Also make sure to have `allow-non-player-entities-on-scoreboards` enabled in your paper configs.
**The data pack version also double functions as a resource pack. So in order to be able to see them, just place the data pack .zip also in your resource folder and activate it like any other resource pack.**

Warping Carrots (Teleport to Friends)
# Warping Carrots
Teleport to your Friends with ease! Intended for small servers (up to 10 Friends) where you play Together! It tries to offer a more Survival-Friendly and Balanced approach compared to having access to an `/tpa` command.
## How does it work?
### Ender Warp
Every Player can open an Ender Warp by right clicking with the Ender Warp Item. It can be crafted with a Gold Ingot and an Ender Pearl (Shape does not matter):

There can only be one Ender Warp open at all times. Ender warps automatically close after 60 seconds. When someone opens an Ender Warp the previously open one gets closed.
### Warping Carrot
Eat Warping Carrots to teleport to the player who is currently opening an Ender Warp. It will damage you as much as an Ender Pearl. Warping Carrots are crafted with an Ender Pearl and a Carrot (Shape does not matter):

### Golden Warping Carrot
The Golden Warping Carrot has the same functionality as the Warping Carrot, but will not deal Damage when Teleporting.

## ⚙️ Compatibility
Do not use an “Unlock all achievements” datapack after having installed this datapack!

Warp Stone
# Warp Stone

—
This datapack (or mod) adds craftable warp stones, which can be used to teleport to locations you’ve been before. This was made to make a _slightly_ less cheaty feeling alternative to the home plugins you’ll find on some servers.
—
To bind a location to a warp stone, right click. after that, any additional right clicks will teleport you back to the stone’s bound location. To clear the stone’s location, sneak and right click.

## Crafting

Warp Portals ─ Portal teleportation
# Warp Portals
Create Warp Portals between your favorite locations. This datapack is made to be balanced, simple to use and lightweight.
Warp Portals supports Multiplayer and uses the best practices for datapacks to insure compatibility with other datapacks.
This datapack doesn’t use chunk loading, unlike most teleportation datapacks, which makes it lightweight no matter how many portals you have.
To create a Warp Portal, you need to forge a Portal Wand. To do so, you need to drop an **Ender Pearl** in a **Crying Obsidian** block. They will turn into a portal and **and the Crying Obsidian will be the destination of the portal** created by the wand.
To create a portal, you need to right-click above a **Crying Obsidian** block with the Portal Wand. The portal will be created and stepping into it will teleport you to the place where that Wand was forged. You can add more Crying Obsidian or Obsidian blocks around the portal to make it bigger, they will also teleport you when you step on them, you can use any shape, pads, rectangles, etc.
To destroy the portal, simply break the **Crying Obsidian** block in the entrance (where you see the particles) and the portal will be destroyed. **The Ender Pearl used to create the wand will drop above**.
## Installation
After downloading the `Warp Portals vX.Y.Z.zip` file (vX.Y.Z is the version number), you can install it by one of the following methods:
– **New SinglePlayer World**: When creating a new world, in the `More` tab, click on `Data Packs`, and drop the `Warp Portals vX.Y.Z.zip` file. The datapack will appear in the `Available` list, click in the arrow to add it to the `Selected` list and click `Done`.
– **Existing SinglePlayer World**: Click `Edit` in the world selection screen, click `Open World Folder`, go to the `datapacks` folder and drop the `Warp Portals vX.Y.Z.zip` file.
– **Multiplayer Server**: Drop the `Warp Portals vX.Y.Z.zip` file in the `datapacks` folder inside the world folder.
## Uninstalling
To uninstall Warp Portals, execute the command `/function warp_portals:uninstall` in the world where you installed the datapack, then remove the `Warp Portals vX.Y.Z.zip` file from the `datapacks` folder.
Note that Minecraft doesn’t provide the necessary tools to actually remove the entirety of a datapack. This function will break (and drop the Ender Pearls) of all portals in currently loaded chunks.
Warp Pads
# Warp Pads
Warp Pads is a data pack enabling players to create and teleport between Warp Pads in the world. It is designed to be balanced for survival Minecraft, but beneficial for players in all game modes.
Warp Pads follows the Minecraft Datapacks Official Conventions ~~and Style~~ as well as Smithed Conventions to ensure compatibility with other certified data packs.
### Warning:
Warp Pads force-load the chunk they are in. This can cause overhead at large scales and can be used by players for unintended purposes. If you are a server owner or an advanced player, please consider this behavior before installing. A good alternative is Waystones.

## Usage
To warp, stand on a Warp Pad, look at the indicator for the desired Warp Pad and sneak (Left-Shift by default). Any mobs or players on top of the Warp Pad will be warped, too.
### Crafting
Warp Pads can be crafted in a Crafting Table like so:

### Creation (Alternate Method w/ a Fancy Animation)
Each Warp Pad requires a primary item and four secondary items to be dropped on top of a base block. Instructions for each tier are as follows:
* Tier 1 – Throw an Ender Pearl and 4 Amethyst Shards on top of a Gold Block. Has a maximum radius of 1000 blocks.
* Tier 2 – Throw a Eye of Ender and 4 Nether Quartz on top of an Amethyst Block. Has a maximum radius of 25000 blocks.
* Tier 3 – Throw a Nether Star and 4 Popped Chorus Fruit on top of a Diamond Block. Has no maximum distance.
Warp Pads must be at least 2 blocks apart from one another.
### Labeling
* To label a Warp Pad, name the crafted Warp Pad prior to placing it.
* To relabel a Warp Pad, throw a named piece of Paper on top of the Warp Pad after it has been placed.
### Destruction
To destroy any Warp Pad, break the block as you normally would with the proper tool. An item will be dropped along with any modifier items the Warp Pad had. The main item will retain the label, if applicable.
### Other
Please note that only the player who placed the Warp Pad will be able to modify it.
* To change the color of the Warp Pad icon, throw the corresponding Dye on top of the Warp Pad.
* To increment the Warp Stream Frequency, throw a Redstone Dust on top of a Warp Pad.
* To make a Warp Pad private, throw a Diamond on top of the Warp Pad.
* To switch to Reserved Frequencies, throw a Glowstone Dust on top of the Warp Pad.
Warp Pads in the Nether are limited to 1/8th the distance of those in the Overworld.
### Support
Tested to support Minecraft: Java Edition 1.17-1.20.4.
### Uninstalling
To uninstall, run `/function warppad:uninstall`. Then disable or remove the data pack from the world.
### Configuration
I designed this rewrite to be easily customizable, but you’ll still need to compile the pack yourself to make changes. I’ve outlined the process in the readme available with the source code.
### Resource Packs
Resource Packs can define custom textures or models for Warp Pad items by using the Custom Model Data value `02900XX`, with XX being the zero-padded tier, starting with 00.
Known Resource Packs implementing these textures (for default recipes) will be linked below if/when available:
