Zombies are Zombie Villagers
# Zombies are Zombie Villagers
The title is quite self-explanatory. All zombies that spawn in your world will be zombie villagers. If you put this data pack in a pre-existing world, all zombies will transform into zombie villagers aswell.
You might find this data pack helpful if you often find yourself frustrated searching for villages near your base and then transporting villagers all the way back when you do find it.
With this data pack, you can essentially cure any zombie and get a villager.
Zombie Villager Variants
A mod adding the Drowned Villager and Villager Husk. These Zombie Villager variant mobs correspond to the Drowned and Husk zombie variants including a copy of all conversion behaviors.
– A drowning villager husk will become a zombie villager.
– A drowning zombie villager will become a drowned villager.
– Drowned and Husks can convert villagers directly into their zombie villager variants.
– Both can be cured into regular villagers the same way as zombie villagers.
Both the drowned villager and villager husk can also spawn naturally with similar odds to the vanilla zombie villager.
Additional optional zombie villager variants can spawn or convert while a compatible mod is present. These variants will not appear naturally otherwise but can be spawned with spawn eggs available in the creative menu or by commands

Zombie Variants

Tired of seeing the same old zombie over and over again? Since the early days of Minecraft, the zombie’s appearance hasn’t changed much — and while that’s fine, why not add a little more variety?
This mod introduces 15 new zombie variants, each designed to spawn in specific biomes, bringing more life (or un-life) to your world! Don’t worry — the classic zombie will still appear in most common biomes like plains. But now, depending on where you are, you’ll encounter new types of zombies that match their surroundings.
For example:
– In snowy or frozen areas, you’ll meet the Frozen Zombie.
Below, you’ll find a detailed list of each zombie variant and the biome it spawns in.

Zombie UUID Preservation
> ⚠ The 1.21 branch of this mod is technically compatible with 1.20, but notheless requires at least **Java 21** to function.
# Zombie UUID Preservation
If you use texture-packs that randomize villager textures, you may have noticed that their appearances change after being zombified or cured.
This mod fixes that, by ensuring the villager’s UUID is preserved after each conversion.
**The fix occurs on the server-side**
Although being developped around villagers, this also takes effect on some other forms of conversion:
– Piglin and Hoglin zombification
– Skeletons turning into strays
– Husks turning into zombies
– Zombies turning into drowned
