2. Drop it into your server’s `plugins/` folder.
3. Start the server (first run will generate `config.yml`).

## FAQ
**Q:** Does the Wandering Trader have levels?
**A:** No — unlike villagers, Wandering Traders don’t level up. The plugin provides a *custom* star rating based on the trades it spawns with.
**Q:** What if a trader unloads?
**A:** Despawn ETA counts *loaded* time only. When the entity unloads, the timer pauses.
**Q:** Can I change messages/timings?
**A:** Yes, everything lives in `config.yml`. Use `/traderalert reload` to apply changes.
—
## Compatibility
– Paper 1.21.x. Other forks may work but aren’t officially supported.

WanderingPlus
# WanderingPlus
**WanderingPlus** is an enhancement plugin for Minecraft’s Wandering Trader, designed to improve gameplay balance and provide more flexibility for both players and server administrators.
## ✨ Why WanderingPlus?
In vanilla Minecraft, the Wandering Trader is global — only one trader can exist at a time, often spawning in inconvenient or unsafe places.
This plugin reworks the system to make the Wandering Trader **more player-focused, balanced, and manageable**, while still respecting vanilla mechanics.
## 🚀 Features
– **Per-player Traders**
Each player can have their own Wandering Trader, instead of being limited to just one per server.
– **Faithful Vanilla Logic**
Preserves vanilla spawn conditions, including location checks, safety rules, and random spawn chances.
– **Improved Spawn Mechanics**
– Safer spawning (no half slabs, no dangerous spots).
– Adjustable spawn chance (default max 25% for increased rarity).
– Trader limits based on active players (`online players / 2`).
– Smarter despawn/reset system, prioritizing the earliest despawned player.
– Independent spawn chance calculation per player.
## 🛠 Commands
### Player Tools
– `/wanderingplus info` — Check if you already have a Wandering Trader and view your spawn chance priority.
### Administrator Tools
– `/wanderingplus spawn ` — Force spawn a Wandering Trader for the specified player.
## 🔮 Future Plans
– Config file support for flexible customization.
– Multi-language support for better accessibility.
Wandering Wildlife
Ever feel like Minecraft’s forests are a bit… quiet? **Wandering Wildlife** aims to breathe new life into the world by introducing unique animals one at a time. Rather than adding hundreds of creatures, we focus on depth and personality, ensuring every addition feels like a natural part of the vanilla ecosystem.
This is the first release, and it’s only the beginning. More creatures will join the world as development continues.
Red Panda
Introducing the **Red Panda**, a charming and expressive inhabitant of the bamboo forests. These little guys are masters of relaxation, often found sleeping away the daylight hours (and snoring quite loudly). While they are generally shy, they possess a unique “scare tactic”—standing on their hind legs to appear larger when approached.
| 🍎 Favorite Food | 🥚 Trust Item | 🌲 Home Biome |
| :— | :— | :— |
| Bamboo | Egg | Bamboo Jungle |
If you want to **befriend** a Red Panda, you’ll need a few eggs and a bit of patience. Once you’ve earned their trust, they will no longer view you as a threat. To **breed** them, provide some fresh bamboo, just like their larger giant panda cousins.

**Key behaviors:**
* 💤 **Diurnal Sleep:** Naturally sleeps during the day; waking them abruptly will cause a brief panic.
* 🐾 **Intimidation Display:** Will stand on hind legs if a player or mob gets too close.
* 🛡️ **Hostile Awareness:** Readily spooked by nearby monsters.

### ⚙️ Compatibility
Wandering Wildlife is designed to be fully compatible with other mods. We aim to ensure our animals interact seamlessly with both vanilla and modded biomes.

– **Spawn Mechanics**:
– Does not spawn naturally and cannot be found in the End.

– Cannot be killed; if damaged by a player, he will teleport away. If damaged by a player linked to him, he will return to the End, destroying any untraded loot.

– **Spawn Location**: Appears in forests in the Overworld.
### Animal Trader
– **Functionality**: Trades animal spawn eggs.

### Exclusive Trader
– **Functionality**: Trades high-value exclusive items such as wither skulls, totems of undying, nametags, horse armor, and saddles.
– **Spawn Location**: Found in the Nether, specifically in the Crimson Forest biome.
## Lost Loot Command
The mod includes a **/lostloot** command that allows players to manage their lost loot:
– **View Lost Loot**: Players can use this command to view their lost loot.

## Configuration Options
– All trader spawns can be disabled in the configuration settings.
– Players can also configure the availability of End Bells, loot recovery, and trader despawn times (default is 48,000 ticks).
## End Trader Bell
– **Item Description**: The End Bell functions like a spawn egg. Right-clicking it will summon the End Trader and produce a bell sound.
– **Usage Restrictions**:
– The bell can only be used if there is no End Trader currently assigned to the player.
– After the End Trader leaves, players can summon him again with another bell.
– If a player attempts to use a bell while a trader is nearby, they will receive a notification indicating the presence of a trader and, if close enough, the coordinates of the trader.

Wandering Trader May Leave

Requires the library mod Collective.
Wandering Trader May Leave adds a simple way to ask the wandering trader to exit the map without resorting to violence. It adds a small button in the top left of the trade screen. When clicked, the trader disappears in a cloud of particles. You no longer have to kill it to get some peace and quiet.
The Trader Llamas disappear as well, but only if they are leashed to the trader. This behaviour can be changed in the config.
Configurable: ( how do I configure? )
despawnTraderLlamasToo (default = true): If the trader llamas should be despawned alongside the wandering trader when pressing the button.
onlyDespawnLlamasWhenLeashed (default = true): Whether the trader llamas should only be despawned if they are leashed to the wandering trader.
showDespawnParticles (default = true): If particles should be shown when despawning the wandering trader and/or trader llamas.
Commands:
/wandering-trader spawn – Accidentally made the wandering trader leave? Respawn it!
The command requires cheat access.
A little button is added:

Just click the button, and poof!

# Wandering Trader Maps

## 📖 Description
Now wandering traders can trade you maps to any of the structures in vanilla Minecraft. The rarer the structure, the rarer it will be for them to sell it to you and the more emeralds it will cost. They can even sell you a map to the Stronghold if you’re lucky. A new compass has also been added that can be crafted or purchased from the wandering trader. the Compass Map Tracker. When you hold this new compass in your main hand and a map in your left hand, the map will point to the coordinates marked on the map!

“`mcfunction
/loot give @s loot wandering_trader_maps:compass_map_tracker

## 🎲 How Weights Work
Each trade has a `weight` value. When a Wandering Trader spawns, trades are randomly selected based on their weights:
– Higher weight = more likely to appear
– Weight of 10 is twice as likely as weight of 5
– Set `enabled: false` to disable a trade entirely
—
## 💡 Example Use Cases
– **Custom Economy** — Sell rare items for specific currencies
– **Skyblock** — Provide unobtainable resources
– **Hardcore SMP** — Balanced alternative progression
– **RPG Servers** — Quest items and special gear
—
## 📋 Requirements
– **Server:** Paper 1.21.4+ or Folia 1.21.4+
– **Java:** 21+
—
## ❓ FAQ
**Q: Do existing traders get new trades?**
A: No, only newly spawned traders use custom trades.
**Q: Does this work on Paper?**
A: Yes! Works on both Paper and Folia.
**Q: Can I add to vanilla trades instead of replacing?**
A: Yes, set `replace-all-trades: false` in config.

Wandering Trader backport
In the latest snapshot Wandering Traders were upgraded to have more trades, and buy things from the players. Today I felt like I had to post SOMETHING (Cos it’s been a while). So here’s a backport! Works perfectly fine for 1.21.4.
Below are all of the new possible trades in 1.21.5, I’ve altered the tall desert grass to instead trade normal tall grass, and wildflowers do not appear in the trades. If you want me to backport this further to a version of your choosing, just drop a comment below and I will try my best!

Wandering Settlers
A small add-on for the mod VillagerConfig by DrexHD.
## Purpose
Due to the latest villager trade rebalance, there is a strong incentive in the game now to establish new villages in locations they don’t naturally spawn. However, there is no flexible, practical, and reliable way to transport villagers yet, especially over large distances on land.
This makes it feasible to create new villages without transporting villagers long distances.
In addition, just for regular gameplay, it is nice to have the freedom to establish base anywhere without feeling restricted by the need to stay close to a village.
## Details
Adds a new trade to the 1.20.2 Wandering Trader trades:
– Sells 0-2 villager eggs for 64 emeralds each
– If it rolls 0, it instead offers a random suspicious stew for 1 emerald.
Thematically, it is a lightweight representation of encouraging unseen members of the traders’ caravan to settle with you.
## Requirements
It requires VillagerConfig and won’t do anything without that installed.
## Limitations
Due to how the data-driven trades work, this datapack must replace all the Wandering Trader’s trades. The other Wandering Trader’s trades are set to those in the latest version of Minecraft at the time of posting (1.20.2). They are shown here on the wiki, in the section marked “After Villager Trade Rebalance”.
That means these changes are usually incompatible with any other datapack/mod that tries to also change Wandering Trader trades.
