Have you ever had your door broken down, thanks to a Zombie who couldn’t keep their hands off it?
Now, they have found a new object of irritation, lights!
Currently they will look for the following light sources and try to get rid of them, if they can:
– minecraft:torch
– minecraft:wall_torch
– minecraft:lantern
– minecraft:shroomlight
– minecraft:redstone_lamp
– minecraft:campfire
– minecraft:beacon
The list is currently hard coded, because I have no idea on how to build a proper config system (yet)

Zombies Evolved
**The data-pack library [Hit Match](https://github.com/picarrow/hit-match/releases/tag/v2.0.0) is REQUIRED to be installed for Zombies Evolved to function as expected. Please click on the link to download it.**

Zombies Evolved is a data pack that seeks to provide players with a uniquely arduous challenge while also maintaining Minecraft’s beloved feel and freedom. Each zombie variant added is intended to bring along new mechanics and a refreshing ambience of horror.
## 🟧 Features
The data pack is a work in progress. But every release that finds its way here has been tested and is completely functional, just not feature-complete. As of the current version, there are **three evolved zombies added to the game**. Although you can read about them in the spoiler below, why not consider going in blind?
Evolved Zombies
These custom mobs can be easily experimented with by using their dedicated spawn eggs. To obtain a spawn egg, type `/function zombies_evolved:_item/__spawn_egg/give/_`. Of course, replace “” with the type of evolved zombie that you want to spawn.
**Jacky** – Jackies are characterized by carved pumpkins, impish chuckles, and a distinct whininess. Try not to let them touch you! With a tendency to pilfer the weapons and armor of nearby friends and foes, they can be a rather mischievous variant of zombie. Each new piece of equipment lights them up like a lantern. Despite their innate greediness, postmortem, they do well in returning what they steal. 3 out of 100 zombies spawn as a jacky.
**Shrieker** – The terror of the caves, the embodiment of horror, the shrieker takes the warden anywhere you and your pickaxe go. Be careful about how you whack it, or you might be in for a lot more trouble than you started out with. 1 out of 50 underground zombies spawn as a shrieker.
**Stalac** – Named after what they emulate, stalacs are opportunistic predators that lay strewn across the ceilings of dripstone caves. Be sure to get the drop on them, before they get the drop on you. Roughly 1 out of 5 zombies that spawn in dripstone caves spawn as a stalac. You can spawn a hanging stalac by right clicking the underside of most blocks with its spawn egg.
Specific elements of the data pack can be configured in the settings, accessible by the command `/function zombies_evolved:_settings/show/_`.
## 🟧 Installation
The Zombies Evolved data pack should be installed like any other data pack.
That entails dragging the entire pack (the ZIP) into the `datapacks` folder of a world.
Additionally, Zombies Evolved requires the data-pack library [Hit Match](https://github.com/picarrow/hit-match/releases/tags/v2.0.0) to be installed along with it.

Zombies attack Pink Sheep
In A Minecraft Movie, Zombies attack a Pink Sheep. This datapack adds this functionality into the game.
Zombies will not attack any other coloured sheep and changing the sheep’s wool colour will stop zombies from attacking.

**Zombieium turns Minecraft nights into a focused zombie survival experience.**

While enabled, the mod:
– Spawns vanilla Zombies around players at night (configurable distance, interval, amount, and nearby cap)

Zombie Infection
# Zombie Infection
## Basic Gameplay:
Whenever a player dies, they will be infected, but they can eat a golden apple to be cured. Death and curing will be announced in the chat
Zombies won’t burn in the day
Zombies always spawn with a decently high chance of spawning reinforcements
Sleeping won’t pass the night anymore
Humans can’t attack other humans, and the infected can’t attack other infected.
## Modes:
There are 3 modes, which an operator can pick when the datapack is enabled.
If you need to change the mode (not recommended once someone becomes infected) or the menu was not visible on start, just run the command /function zombie_infection:menu to open the menu
Fast:
Meant to be for more of a manhunt style. Infected players can not be cured, keep inventory is on, and instant respawn is on.
Normal (Default):
A normal experience, not meant to be fast, but not too long. Infected players are slower, keep inventory on, and instant respawn is off.
Long:
Meant to be more of a roleplay scenario, make your own rules! Infected players are slower, have mining fatigue, and have less health. Keep inventory off, and instant respawn is also off.

Zombie Improvements
# Zombie Improvements
This mod improves zombie leader and reinforcement mechanics and fixes a few bugs with them.
## What?
If you didn’t even know these were a thing, here’s a rundown from the Minecraft wiki:
> On all difficulty levels, damaged zombie mobs (including husks, drowned and even zombified piglins) call all other zombies within a 67×21×67 to 111×21×111 area centered on the attacked zombie to target the attacker.
>
> In Hard difficulty, zombies can spawn additional zombies to “help” when damaged. Each zombie has a “likeliness to call reinforcements” statistic ranging from 0–10%, and “leader” zombies (0–5% depending on regional difficulty) get a bonus of 50–75 percentage points to the stat.
>
> On Hard difficulty, zombies have a 5% chance to spawn as leaders. Leader zombies can spawn other zombies as reinforcements.
## So what does this mod do?
There are a few issues with these mechanics:
– You can’t tell if the zombie you’re attacking is a leader or not.
– There is no visual/audio cue when zombies spawn additional reinforcements.
– There are a few bugs which make these mechanics less relevant.
This mod alleviates all of these issues by:
– Adding a red aura effect around leader zombies, identical to the charged creeper effect, but red color.
– Adding unique textures and sounds for leader zombies.
– Increasing the size of zombies that are leaders.
– Adding a sound that plays when a zombie spawns in additional reinforcements. The sound that will be played is the block breaking sound of the block the freshly spawned zombie is standing on, played 5 times in a span of 2 seconds.
– Appending a “Leader” prefix to the name of the leader mob.
– Fixing two vanilla bugs, namely [MC-219981](https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC/issues/MC-219981) and (1.21.1 only) [MC-14800](https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC/issues/MC-14800).
There’s also a few additional tweaks:
– Configure the attack damage of leader zombies. By default, it’s slightly increased compared to normal zombies.
– Configure the spawn chance for leader zombies.
– Allow only leader zombies to spawn additional reinforcements.
– Prevent mob spawners from spawning leaders.
– Prevent zombies spawned by mob spawners from spawning additional reinforcements.

– **Block Breaking** — Zombies can break through doors, fences, and chests to reach players (configurable per-block cooldowns)
– **Sunlight Protection** — Zombies don’t burn in sunlight by default (configurable)
