# About
**Vanillin** is a semi-realistic resource pack for Minecraft, closely resembling vanilla (hence the name) but handpainted in an unique, stylized way by fantasy illustrator **@yevvie**. Vanillin attempts to fill the niche between cartoony and photorealistic, while keeping the original tone and vibrancy of the game.

# Features
### Architectural Integrity
Ever downloaded a pack mid-playthrough and applied it just to see your existing build suddenly look awful and out of place? No more disappointment like that! Vanillin keeps the balance of tone and color of original Minecraft block, making it so your build palette is just as smooth as it was before.
### Shader-free Beauty
Not everyone wants or can use shaders – this is why Vanillin is developed to look good without them. However, if you would like to use shaders with our pack we recommend [Complementary Shaders by EminGTR](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/customization/complementary-shaders).
# Compatibility
Texturing started at 1.19, although once the baseline of the pack is done more versions will be supported. The timeline of these updates highly depends on the funding to free up our artist’s queue and allow them to work full time on this pack.

## What does it do?
This resource pack modifies achievements to reflect my (Bogumba) perspective. It also adds references to popular universes. For example, it changes the “Minecraft: Trial Edition” achievement to “Merlin’s Beard,” which references the Harry Potter universe. There are also references to other universes, which I think you’ll discover on your own. Some of them are also on the resource pack icon, but not all.
## What do you need to run it, and how does it work?
The changes only work if Russian is selected as the game language. Other languages aren’t supported because I only speak Russian, and machine translation can contain many inaccuracies. If you’re running a version that isn’t the latest, only the achievements that exist in that version will be visible in the game.

Adds a new selectable language (uwu) that will UwU-ify (most) text in the vanilla game and forge. Does not affect en_us or any other language.

Not likely to be ported for other versions or mods. Just havin’ some silly fun with it (⌐■‿■)

# The Minecraft UwU-ifier!
Make your Minecraft… something, that’s for sure.

This resource pack adds a custom language that “UwU-ifies” the game, replacing every “R” and “L” with a “W”, adding little faces to the end of everything, and changing hands and feet to “paws”. It’s quite stupid, and was made in about an hour on an “I want this but all the other resource packs that do this are for 1.16.5 so I’m going to write a Python script that does this for me” basis. So if you want to know why it exists, blame boredom and the people who did it already (for an older version of the game).

tl;dr makes minecraft “cute”. made in a night, for no reason at all.

## How do I enable it?
Step 1: Turn on the resource pack. I’m assuming that you already had the brains to put it into your Minecraft folder (or used a Minecraft launcher that isn’t Vanilla).

Step 2: Find the language in the Language menu. From the Minecraft options menu, go into “Languages” and find the language titled “UwU” (name subject to change in the future but it should be something along those lines). Enable the language and press “Done”.

Step 4: Enjoy the ~~cursedness~~ cuteness! :3

You love the Umbrella from Artifacts, don’t you? Of course you do, and why wouldn’t you!? It’s a shield with infinite durability that makes you immune to fall damage and gives you slow falling?
Honestly, it’s one of the best accessories in all of modded Minecraft, and fashionable to boot!
Do you know what you don’t love about the Umbrella? It’s just so *blinding* and gets in your way, I mean this is a combat item you say to yourself and all of your friends who think you look like dollar tree marry poppins… and I get it, except for the last part that sounds like a skill issue.
This pack fixes all of it though, even your condescending friendships through the power of very slight adjustments to a couple of models.

These screenshots are taken on a 2560×1440 (16:9) monitor in fullscreen downscaled to 50%, gui scale of 3, 70 fov, with a perfectly level looking angle.
The HUD is being retextured by [Overgrown Flowery GUI](https://modrinth.com/resourcepack/overgrown-flowery-gui) (it may look discolored because of green screen shenanigans lol).
