# 🌲 **Wild Survival** 🌲

Forget the Ender Dragon. **Wild Survival** is a monster-free, nature-driven **survival** modpack where the real enemy is the **wilderness** itself. Explore overhauled forests, rivers, mountains and diverse biomes filled only with wild animals behaving naturally 🦌🐻.

🌦️ **Seasons** change, **temperatures** drop and rise, **food** rots, caves can collapse, and your character’s **body parts**, **nutrition**, **hydration** and stamina all matter. Every choice has weight. Every day is a struggle.

Hi I’m **WikiRaze** and this is my **Recommended** Mods list! I have always wanted a stricly vanilla experience. But over the years I have started to stretch that idea somewhat and added some vanilla-enhancing mods and resourcepacks. I often get questions about which mods I use, or which I recommend. So if you are like me, and just want to enhance vanilla without letting it feel modded, then this modpack is for you.

_It’s not vanilla, it’s not modded. It’s juuuust right._

# Vanilla compatible
This is a **clientside** modpack which can be used on all vanilla servers.

## Nicer visuals
– **Physics Mod** (adds physics animations to some objects)
– **Iris Shaders** with **Complementary Shaders** (enhances the vanilla feel, but not too much)
– **Fresh Animations** (resourcepack which adds animations to mobs)
– **3D Skin Layers** (makes the player model look nicer)
– **Invisible Armor** (lets you actually see your friends skins, can be disabled as it is a resourcepack)
– **Not Enough Animations** (adds 3rd person animations to the player model)

## Helping hands
– **Mod Menu** (lets you see which mods are installed)
– **ViaFabric** (lets you join older minecraft servers)
– **Zoomify** (zoom in using “C”)
– **Xaero’s Minimap** & **Xaero’s World Map** (generates a world map of places you’ve been)
– **Simple Voice Chat** (lets you talk ingame on servers which support it)
– **Stendahl** (adds quality of life features to books, signs and chat)

## “Optifine”-textures compatible
– Entity Model Features
– Entity Texture Features
– CIT Resewn (not updated yet, so not yet included)

These three mods lets you use resourcepacks which adds features not found in the vanilla game. Like connected textures, alternate textures and such.

## Lag reducing

– Entity Culling

This modpack does not have lag-reducing as one of it’s main features. If your computer is slow you might want to add some more mods. However this should get you started. Try it out and see if it works for you. It does for me!

WhoPack

### Description
This modpack is mainly intended to make your vanilla experience more visually interesting while keeping consistant with vanilla minecrafts aesthetics! This pack tries to accomplish this while keeping minecrafts game progression almost entirely identical to vanilla (no major changes to structures, game mechanics, progression, etc.)

You’ll find:
– Minor adjustments to worldgen
– GUI changes
– Animation changes
– QoL features
– Controller support
– And more!

### Multiplayer support
This pack can *almost* be used on vanilla servers. There is only one mod that you will have to remove to make it compatible which is Spyglass Astronomy.

Despite it claiming to be a client side mod, when attempting to connect to hypixel it would throw an error. Just a heads up!

Obviously if you’d like to play with this modpack on vanilla servers you will lose some functionality including:
– Worldgen
– Conectible Chains
– Spyglass Astronomy
– Possibly more that I’ve not tested

All credit goes to the original mod and resource pack authors, this is really just a compliation with some minor settings adjusted.

The Wheel

# About

Every new modpack has to start somewhere. So why reinvent the wheel?

This pack strives to provide a stable and performant foundation on which new modpacks can be based. Also sutiable as a snappy vanilla+ client on its own. Contains the standard suite of Sodium and Sodium-compatible performance mods, recipe menu, looking-at probe, mod menu, options management, and of course, AppleSkin :3

From there, a lightweight selection of GUI/HUD changes, texture modifications, visual enhancements, and quality of life features are added. These are based on the preferences and opinions of the pack author – this unified vision being what sets this apart from similar pack options.

## Performance

The pack is developed and tested on an eight-year-old PC with an i7-6700k and 980ti, and it targeted to perform with good frame-rate on similar systems or better, when using the recommended settings.

Pack is worked on and balanced around a healthy 6144MB/6GB of RAM, but you should easily be able to get away with as little as 2GB.
