Wooden Stairs Crafts
Modify the recipe for wooden stairs to make it more realistic.
The craft uses three planks to make four stairs.
Works with bamboo, mosaic bamboo and cherry wood in 1.20+ and pale oak in 1.21.10 !

Woodcutting
## Description
This Datapack adds more crafting recipes to the stonecutter. It allows the Player to craft all wood type recipes in the stonecutter. This way crafting a single door is possible. It also allows stripping logs and wood blocks.

– 4 Planks
– 4 Stairs
– 8 Slabs
– 8 Fences
– 4 Fence Gates
– 4 Doors
– 8 Trapdoors
– 32 Pressure Plates
– 36 Buttons
– 1 Crafting Table
– 4 Ladders
– 4 Signs
– 1 Boat (excluding Stems)
– 8 Sticks
– 4 Bowls
Each Bamboo Block (stripped or unstripped) can create:
– 2 Stairs (Planks and Mosaic)
– 4 Slabs (Planks and Mosaic)
– 4 Fences
– 2 Fence Gates
– 2 Doors
– 4 Trapdoors

WoodCraft+
WoodcraftPlus – Easier Wood Recipes
WoodcraftPlus is a simple and vanilla-friendly Minecraft datapack that makes crafting wood-based items faster and more convenient. With this datapack, you can craft chests and sticks from any type of log, including all overworld and Nether wood variants such as oak, spruce, birch, jungle, acacia, dark oak, mangrove, cherry, pale oak, crimson, and warped.
No more tedious crafting with individual planks or small batches. You can now convert 8 logs into 4 chests or 2 logs into 16 sticks, saving resources and time while building. This is especially useful for large-scale construction projects, survival playthroughs, or when working with multiple wood types in creative designs.
WoodcraftPlus works fully within Minecraft’s vanilla mechanics, keeping the game balanced while expanding your crafting options. It is perfect for players who want to streamline their gameplay without adding overly complex mechanics or breaking immersion.
Install the datapack, place your logs in the crafting table, and enjoy quicker, more efficient wood crafting. Whether you are exploring the Overworld forests or collecting stems in the Nether, WoodcraftPlus ensures that every log has a purpose and helps make your building and survival experience smoother and more enjoyable.

# Woodcutter
This datapack adds the ability to cut all wood types into further processed forms like planks, stairs and slabs using the stonecutter.
## Extensions
* [Sticks n’ stones](https://modrinth.com/datapack/sticks-n-stones) (Adds sticks to the woodcutter’s repertoire)
## Recipes

> I used oak wood as an example, but this works with all wood types.
> The numbers varie a bit with Bamboo Blocks, because you only get 2 Bamboo planks from a Bamboo Block

> I used mangrove wood as an example, but this works with all wood types.
## Why I decided to do stuff the way I did
You might have wondered why you can’t craft fences, fence gates, doors and trapdoors using planks in the stonecutter, but can with logs. The reason is that I decided that you should at max get 0.5 extra planks for using the stonecutter instead of the crafting table, as that’s the max you get in vanilla, when crafting a stone stair that would cost 1.5 stones in a crafting table. Here’s a table about the plank cost of every wooden block that further illustrates the point I’m trying to make here.
|item |planks needed for the recipe (including sticks [1 stick = 0.5 plank]) | recipe output| cost per block (in planks)|
— | — | —| —|
|stair|6|4| 1.5|
|slab|3|6| 0.5|
|fence|5|3| ~1.7|
|fence gate|4|1| 4|
|door|6|3| 2|
|trapdoor|6|2| 3|
|pressure plate|2|1| 2|
|button|1|1| 1|
|sign|6.5|3| ~2.2|
> Hanging signs aren’t on this table, because their crafting recipe includes chains.
You can now further craft shelves from logs and stripped logs 1:1, since their crafting recipe is 6:6. You cannot, however, craft them from wood blocks (bark on all sides), as there is no vanilla crafting recipe to convert a wood block back to a log.
If you dislike my decisions, I recommend you check out [Taya’s Woodcutter datapack](https://modrinth.com/datapack/tc-woodcutter) which made some things different to this one.

## Overview
Wood Cutter is a datapack that overhauls Minecraft Stonecutter, enabling it to craft wooden items like a dedicated woodworking station. Designed for players who want streamlined building without mods, it retains vanilla balance while expanding the stonecutter’s utility for all 6 classic wood types (oak, spruce, jungle, birch, dark oak, acacia).
## Features
Stonecutter Woodworking:
Craft planks, slabs, stairs, fences, doors, trapdoors, and signs directly in the stonecutter.
Vanilla-friendly ratios (e.g., 1 log = 4 planks, 1 log = 4 stairs).
Customizable Recipes:
Optional config to disable vanilla crafting table recipes (e.g., force fences to be stonecutter-only).
Adjust plank/stair yields for balance.
Optimized Performance:
Minimal lag during /reload (v3.4 improvements).
No visual glitches (axes no longer “consumed”).
## Compatibility
Works With:
Fabric, Forge, or Vanilla (no mods required!).
Most resource packs and performance mods (e.g., Sodium, OptiFine).
Conflicts:
Datapacks/mods that alter vanilla stonecutter behavior (e.g., Terralith, Vanilla Tweaks).
Not compatible with Minecraft 1.15+.
## Installation
Download WoodCutter_v3.4.zip.
Drag into your world’s datapacks folder.
Run /reload or restart your world.
## FAQ
Q: Do all vanilla wood recipes work in the stonecutter?
A: Yes! All 6 wood types (oak, spruce, jungle, birch, dark oak, acacia) are supported.
Q: Can I disable certain recipes?
A: Yes! Edit the config file to toggle specific recipes or yields.
Q: Does this work with Fresh Animations or other resource packs?
A: Yes, but use the optional texture pack for stonecutter GUI hints.
Q: Backports to newer versions?
A: This version is exclusive to 1.13.X. For 1.15+, check our updated packs!
## Limitations
No support for post-1.14 blocks (e.g., Bamboo, Crimson).
Recipe book previews may require a /reload to update.

Wood Conversion

## What?
This data pack allows for the conversion of wooden planks and logs between different wood types using dyes.
Just add 8 planks or 8 logs of any type with one of the listed dyes in your crafting table!
For wooden planks, all current vanilla wood types are supported (overworld trees, bamboo & crimson and warped).
For logs, all except bamboo, as there is no perfectly equivalent block in the bamboo set.
## Why?
Avoid having to plant several different trees, that might look out of place in your base and might be painful to farm (looking at you, mangrove!).
Also, I always felt that wooden planks should not be differentiated by species, but by colour, with 16 types corresponding to the 16 dyes. Thus even with less than 16 tree variants, wood would fill out all standard vanilla colour niches. This data pack simulates that to some degree.
## Dyes!
Here’s a list of which dye is used for which wood type:
– white > birch
– gray > oak
– black > dark oak
– brown > spruce
– green > jungle
– orange > acacia
– yellow > bamboo (only planks)
– red > mangrove
– magenta > crimson
– cyan > warped
– pink > cherry
## Mod Support
Currently, no mod support is planned, especially because this is limited to 16 dyes.
## Fox’ Utilities
This is my very first publicly released data pack. It is also the first in a series of small utility data packs (called Fox’ Utilities) that I plan to release in the coming weeks or so.
