## Please read!
This shader is still in beta, expect to encounter issues, because you will. When you do come across issues, let me know about it! I am actively working on improving and fixing up Phoxel, and your help will make it a lot easier

## About Phoxel
Phoxel was started because of a lack of publicly available path tracing shaders for Minecraft, and was originally meant to be purely vanilla in it’s style. But with the 0.6 re-release, Phoxel is starting to take on it’s own visual style, and I now strive for Phoxel to capture some of the beauty of real life, mixed with the unique ambience and blocky beauty of the Minecraft we’ve all come to love.

Phoxel currently covers two shaders: Phoxel PT, and Phoxel Lite, some info will differ between the two. All new releases and features will come out on Phoxel PT before Phoxel Lite, but Phoxel Lite will have a few features before Phoxel PT, purely because some features are much easier to implement without path tracing.

Phoxel PT is the original, with the goal of eventually capturing Phoxel, with it’s core philosophy, at it’s absolute best. (with some render time of course :P)

### Most Recent Update
Phoxel is back, but there are changes to how things will work:
1. I will no longer be releasing Beta versions, instead all projects will now only include releases and patches
2. All full releases will receive patches to make sure they work with the most recent version of Minecraft

Generally this does mean releases will be much more spread out in comparison to pre Phoxel Beta 0.5 releases, but I feel you all deserve not crappy shaders and projects.
I’m going to try a couple more things, but if what I try doesn’t work, or is something beyond me, Phoxel will not be able to be as performant as needed, and may move to a screenshot directed shader, rather than a real time path tracer, and the quality will probably never be comparable to others.

1. “When will Photon be released for _new Minecraft version_?”
– Shader packs are generally not very dependent on MC versions; as long as Iris is available, Photon should just work.

Are you looking to play Wynncraft with shaders, but don’t want to compromise on playability or visuals? _**Nwoof’s Wynn Shader**_ is designed with a goal to fulfill that wish at its core. Designed and written based on problems encountered by Wynncraft players regarding shaders, this is the first shader designed with the Wynncraft player’s experience in mind.

– ## Shadowmapping
Virtual texture-based shadow system. Provides customization options such as adjustable resolution and culling distance.
– ## Bloom
Simulates a glow effect for added realism to the world’s lighting and illumination. The amount of total samples in this effect can be adjusted to provide the right balance of performance and visual quality.
– ## Lighting
The lighting algorithms include Scene-Aware Lighting that adjusts the color of the world’s lighting based on the original light source, toggleable Path-Traced Global Illumination which simulates the emission and reflection of light rays, and a customizable range for controlling/balancing light levels. There is also Custom Water with Screen Space Reflections and Light Refraction.

The shader also comes with sky features such as Customizable Sky/Fog/Atmosphere Colors for various times of day, and Volumetric Clouds that adapt to the weather.

When travelling throughout the world, the tonemapping and color grading will automatically adjust to a scheme which is appropriate for your location.

Frequently Asked Questions

> Why is the shader so dark/bright?

The optimal/preferred light levels can vary from person to person. If you feel the shader is too dark/bright, adjust the minimum/maximum light.

> Why is the fog so strong?

The default fog settings are set for my personal taste. If you’d prefer something different, you can change the fog’s settings.

# _INSTALL GUIDE:_

Nostalgic Crisp

Currently shader is **WIP**, **_expect many bugs._**

## Features

1. Fast and low quality shadows, (pixel locked shadows)
2. Special sunrise and sunset event where the whole world becomes a lot more redder and brighter.
3. Handheld lighting, and more softer lighting for light sources
4. Wavy plants
5. Atmosphere/fog

7. Chromatic aberration

That should be all, fixing the shadows is my top priority along with foxing the light leak issue. The End kind of just doesn’t have any features and is the same, and the Nether is bearable (in my minimal testing), but I will definitely revist tje dimensions after fixing the shadows. That’s all so have fun!

*Note: Nuking the entire shadow logic and rewriting it from ground up to support iris. Also it technically works on iris but has a whole lot of more bugs so I suvgest to not to use this yet.
