## Performance Tips
* Sample count: This directly affects the quality of the lighting. Higher sample counts show less noise and more detailed lighting/reflections at the cost of performance. Keep this at 1 for the best performance.
* Diffuse Lighting > Denoising Passes: The amount of passes used for diffuse lighting denoising. Even though not as high as sample count, this has a performance impact too. You can still get decent lighting with just 6 passes most of the time, but a pass count of 8 is recommended for the best lighting. You can set this to 0 if you’re fine with the noise.
* If you are in a completely closed room with no outdoor light entering it, set Shadow Samples to 0. This will disable sunlight.
* Irradiance Cache > Update Interval: The maximum amount of frames that are allowed to pass between updates of the same part of the irradiance cache. Lower values cost more performance, but result in more responsive lighting and less noise in reflections.

This is a demo shaderpack for https://modrinth.com/mod/vulkanite-mod. It needs an RT capable GPU (10 series and up on Nvidia, 6000 series and up on AMD).
## Warning
This pack is only a demo, meaning it’s not really intended for gameplay purposes, but as a future reference for developers and a technical showcase. Please don’t report issues related to the look of the pack.

The VTXS project was born to challenge the modern graphics trend of smearing everything with TAA and upscaling. The philosophy behind VTXS is that everything stays perfectly sharp, regardless of camera speed.
## Screen Space Demo
This shader introduces a lighting system developed exclusively for VTXS.
Each emissive pixel visible on screen illuminates the scene and casts shadows.
The noise level is low enough for real time gameplay without requiring denoising. However, a denoiser is still present as an optional feature.
While being a demo this shader is intended to be used for gameplay, so all features necessary for a complete and playable experience are planned.

Most of the Verlixia code is originally by Capt Tatsu in his [BSL Shaders](https://modrinth.com/shader/bsl-shaders). Verlixia is a “fork” of BSL Shaders v8.3 with permission by Capt Tatsu himself. Credits to Capt Tatsu! Verlixia is also currently in beta and slightly unfinished.
## Verlixia!
**Verlixia** is a shaderpack based on BSL that adds/changes:
– Color toning: Warmer colors during the day but cooler colors during night time and storms!
– Better darkness: Nights and caves are more darker for realism, including storms.
– Wet reflections: Water is now reflective by default and now after it rains, blocks will have a shiny wet reflection!
– Multi-colored block lighting: Soul torches and redstone objects have their own colored glow, but is pretty subtle!
– Heat haze: A wavy effect when you are looking at things like lava, fire, torches or in a desert, savanna or the Nether!
– Wind gust system: Waving is now randomized and can be a little wavy up to wavy based off wind gust.
– New atmospherics: The End has an endless purple aurora in the sky and way more purple toned than BSL, the Moon has a more bluish tint than BSL too.
– Darkness effect rework, including desaturtion, film grain boost and a slight chromatic aberration effect, for horror effect.
### Platforms, versions and hardware requirements
Verlixia can be ran with the Iris mod with Sodium and/or OptiFine, works best on Iris due to its modern architecture and Sodium integration. Verlixia can work also on many versions and subversions like BSL, this includes:
However these are just estimates and may be inaccurate and depends on how powerful your CPU is. These estimates only count 1440p and High, 1080p + Medium has lower requirements and 4K + Ultra has way higher requirements. This also depends on how much RAM you have, 32 GB is recommended / give Minecraft 6GB.

Verlixia is created by KaiakK, original BSL shaders by Capt Tatsu. This plugin was tested on a RTX 4060, 1440p, 16GB of RAM! First shader pack by me ever, probably the last too.

# VanillaPuddingTart
VanillaPuddingTart (an abbreviated and then incorrectly unabbreviated version Vanilla Path Tracing) is a resourcepack that adds global (non-screen space) lighting effects to the game, such as:
The pack comes with a built-in texture pack but if you have the time it’s recommended to use a third party one.
Texture packs need to go through a conversion process to work with VPT, please follow [this guide](https://blog.balintcsala.com/posts/vpt-setup/) if you want to do this. This process is heavily RAM-limited, so packs with large textures might fail (I recommend at most 128x).
## Compatibility
1.) The pack is _incompatible_ with any mods that might change how the game draws stuff, notable examples:
– Optifine
– Sodium
– Rubidium
2.) Because of the nature of vanilla shaders the only supported version is the last major release (e.g. 1.20). The pack may work on older versions but it’s not guaranteed to.
3.) The minimum supported resolution is 1024×768 and the maximum is 3840×2160, going below the minimum or above the maximum in either direction (e.g. 1000×768 or 3840×2500) will cause glitches.
## Known issues
Please don’t report these:
– Water is broken (will be fixed later)
– A handful of blocks don’t have built-in support
– Lava is broken (will be fixed)
– Lava doesn’t emit light (probably can’t be fixed)
– The end and nether doesn’t work (probably can’t be fixed)
– Emissive parts don’t always follow the rotation of the blocks

## What are Luminary Shaders?
Based on [Mellow Shader](https://modrinth.com/shader/mellow)
Tricked Shaders enhance the visuals of Minecraft while maintaining a respectable level of performance (at least for me) and staying true to the original aesthetic. It focuses on refining what is already there rather than attempting to make Minecraft a hyper-realistic experience.
In contrast to the original Mellow Shader, my version reduces overall brightness without compromising color or clarity, giving the game a deeper, more atmospheric appearance. In every lighting scenario, the end, nether, and overworld all feel more balanced, richer, and immersive. All settings are customizable, but profiles are gone as to not ruin the settings.
