Default HD is the normal Minecraft experience but in amazing 128x, 256x, and 512x HD. This pack is different from the rest with its smooth shading and shadows! Gives a shaders feel without the awful performance hit!
This addon pack is for the HD sun and Moon from Default HD as a standalone pack! It is suitable for many packs due to the nature of the textures so I thought it would be nice to have it’s own stand alone addon to spice up any packs you may use!

Default HD is the normal Minecraft experience but in amazing 256x HD. This pack is different from the rest with its smooth shading and shadows!
I originally created this pack as there was no real/definitive default experience in HD with better shading. This keeps the original style and pixels, just shaded and in HD. Back when I made this back in 2015, it was an instant hit, and I kept it up to date until 1.8 where I then took a hiatus from the community, however, I am back and better than ever and want to give you what the want and request. After countless people asking me to update this pack, I am finally doing it.
This is the demo/alpha version of the 256x version of the pack. It has a handful of textures at the 256x resolution for you to test out and see! The beta on Patreon has much more done and is updated far more often, so if you like what you see I recommend checking it out!

Different Double Slabs
# Compatible with ALL texture packs!
Because this resource pack only changes the block models instead of textures, it is compatible with all texture packs, even higher-resolution ones!
## What is this pack?
This resource pack changes the models of double-slab blocks to make them look different from their full-block variants.
Take these oak planks and slabs as an example:
As you can see, these changes allow for more variation in builds without compromising on losing other textures or requiring mods.
## What are the changes?
For most variants, the models were rotated by 90°. (Slab variants on top, full blocks below*)
*1.21’s blocks are not shown but are included in the resource pack.
However, some slabs have different changes to provide more utility. For example, the sandstone and red sandstone slabs will display their bottom texture on all sides. See below:
Another exception is the cut sandstone and cut red sandstone slabs. The sides of the model have been changed to include a seam in the middle, matching the (unchanged) smooth stone slabs, as they’re—uniquely—the only double slab variant with a different texture in the vanilla game.
> *Note that the changes to the cut sandstone and cut red sandstone slabs impact their single-slab variants so that the models match their double variant. It’s still compatible with other packs, though.
Finally, the bamboo mosaic variant is mirrored instead of rotated 90° because otherwise, it’s almost impossible to tell the difference.
