# Introduction to Streamline
### What is Streamline?
Streamline is a Minecraft plugin that adds limitless functionality to Minecraft servers through what is known as **Modules**. These Modules are downloadable content that you insert into the Streamline plugin’s “modules“ folder to enhance your server.
Streamline Modules can do many things and even allow server admins and developers to make their own with a very nice framework.
The currently made modules add functionality such as:
– Redirecting players from one server to another when that server goes down. (**StreamlineRedirect Module**)
– Network staff chat, whispering, and friends. (**StreamlineMessaging Module**)
– Discord to Minecraft and Minecraft to Discord. (**StreamlineDiscord Module**)

### What makes Streamline special?
Streamline allows for **universal cross-platform capabilities** with its Modules.
This essentially means you can run the same modules on a BungeeCord proxy that you would on a Velocity proxy (or even your backend servers). This, with the addition of **Modularized features** means that server admins and owners can choose *exactly* what they want in their server without bloatware.
This also makes it very easy for server admins to use a specific module across different servers. Or even for Developers to develop modules for servers (or the community).

# Description
StreamingModule (formerly known as “StreamingDrops”) is a Twitch integration for Minecraft with many different functions. Among other things, Twitch viewers can get Minecraft drops (similar to the Twitch (Gaming) Drops).
In addition, streamers can be displayed as live on the server, the streamer can see his Twitch chat directly in Minecraft or chat commands in the Twitch chat with content from Minecraft are possible. This plugin is meant to alleviate the problem of join/leave messages flooding the chat whenever players move between servers _in the specific situation_ where you also want global notifications when a player joins/leaves the network itself.
The plugin actually has two parts, _STFU_ and _STHU_. ST**F**U is the Velocity side of things. It broadcasts join/leave messages to all servers whenever a player joins or leaves the proxy as a whole. ST**H**U is the Paper plugin–the only thing it does is suppress the vanilla join/leave messages.

### 🛠️ Setting up BetterStack

3. Give it a name and keep the default values for expecting heartbeat and grace period. (The expected heartbeat should match the `interval` in `config.yml`)

4. Copy the url generated, and paste it into the heartbeat section in `config.yml`

6. Create a free status page with your new heartbeat, if you have multiple servers you can do the same for each.

This is an essential plugin suite for Spigot/Paper/Folia/Mohist servers,
including more than 90 modules that provides countless features for servers of any scale!

## FAQ
### What relationship does it have to that `Starlight` mod?
Basically, nope 😀
Starlight mod has a totally different function from this artifact.It rewrites light engine and simply provide optimizes.
### Why I can’t see any changes after installing `starlight-core.jar`?
Man! What can I say? see **Installation** section 😀
### Why it is renamed?
This project is originally name `quark-plugin`. To avoid being collided with that mod——which everybody loves it, I
decide to change its name.
But the reason is not only for this. This project actully starts from long long long long ago, from a small plugin. The
most bad thing is that when I started this project, I actually have **NO**
understandings to java.
So now, when this plugin is getting more appreciation, start off from the blank and refactor the WHOLE archtecture to
ensure extandability is important.
### What will happen since this project is a continuation?
Unfortunately, to wholly frick the architecture away, I HAVE to sacrifice A lot, especially, compatibility.
from the following version, This project will enter alpha stages.The plugin will use a completely different namespace
and ID.
As soon as the refactor done, the auto-migaration code will be added, to allow you to upgrade **Player Data and module
data** from old plugin data folder, and the new starlight plugin can work with the old one together.

### Working with quark-plugin
The new starlight kernal now register things in a different namespace, but feature conflicts still exists. You have to
manually disable modules that has duplicated feature with starlight in your older plugin.
### Upgrading and migration
Unfortunately, since most of ids and values are changed, it’s not possible to move or migrate legacy language or config
file, so please re-configure them once it’s ready.
After core version 25.3.10, we provide data migration. You could use command:

Currently, we support waypoint data, music files and mute data. For any other request, leave it in issue.
### Why I can’t disable some module?
Some modules(mostly in `starlight-core`) provides basic features or relied by other systems.
Enable them will not cost any resources.
### Why I can’t see some of the features after downloading this?
There are two possibilities.
#### 1. Some features are not automatically enabled.
This is manually defined, since we won’t expect them to load after we install the WHOLE bundler.
For example, the log color patching module work fine on some server, but crash on others.
It’s hard to say why since it works like injecting, and there is no evidence points to platform api issue.
To resolve this, after you KNOW what will happen, filter the correct module ID and enable it manually.
#### 2. Some features require certain platform.
Bukkit-based server has multiple branches, and most of them are technically different.
For example, Folia based server does NOT have scoreboard API(currently),
and a MIXED server(combine forge/fabric with bukkit) has a horrible(not bad) class loading design.
We just can’t expect some features to work when our platform is missing needed API.

* This plugin was originally TheDgtl’s Bukkit port of the Stargate plugin for hMod by Dinnerbone.
* After this plugin was dropped by TheDgtl, PseudoKnight began maintaining it for modern versions of Spigot (adding support for UUIDs & Material Strings).
* EpicKnarvik97 forked that version to clean up the code, added leash support, and improved vehicle support.
* LockedCraft and LittleBigBug also forked that version to add underwater and tag support, as well as a few bug fixes.
* The current legacy release combines all the forks above, and is maintained by the Stargate Rewritten project.
* As total rewrite is forthcoming, these legacy versions are (for the most part) in maintenance-only mode.
Installation / Migration

Installation and migration should be drag-and-drop.
* If there is a “Stargate” directory, SG will migrate its contents, configurations, and data into a new format.
* In theory, this migration script should support all known post-drakia (i.e. UUIDs & String-Based block IDs) stargate forks.
* If you run into any problems, please post an issue report or ask about it on discord.
* If there is no “Stargate” directory in your Plugins folder, SG will create a fresh install.
